David Horgan
David Horgan is a South London-based artist and printmaker. Taking inspiration from an amalgamation of everyday life and experience, intermingled with popular culture and iconography, his work aims to convey a narrative through a colourful, bold style that expresses character and humour. Horgan is a storyteller at heart and builds scenes around figures and integrates symbols to enhance their story. Horgan developed his love of drawing whilst training as an architect in Manchester and is interested in exploring the way that line, texture, colour and space all interact with one another to create compositions.
His work has been included in many exhibitions in the UK and worldwide. Most recently: Maza Art, Madrid, Spain (2023); Black White Gallery, London, UK (2023); FRMD, London, UK (2022); Amelia Maxwell Art Advisory, online (2022), Karen Gallery, Mermaid Beach, Australia (2022); Fresh Paint at NoHo Showrooms, London, UK (2022); McCully and Crane, Rye, UK (2022); Style Yours Spaces, Edinburgh, Scotland (2022); Deptford Does Art, London, UK (2021).
